There’s something wonderfully grounding about working with your hands. In a world that often prizes speed, polish and perfection, slowing down to shape something soft, earthy and beautifully imperfect is a gift in itself.
That’s exactly what our platter and dish pottery workshop offers. A creative escape where imperfection is not just welcomed, but celebrated.
Led by Fiona from Table Ceramics, this relaxed, hands on workshop invites you to create your very own platter and dish using simple tools, a rolling pin and your own two hands. With Fiona’s gently encouraging guidance, you’ll shape pieces that reflect your style, your quirks, your touch.
The platter and dish are a keepsake to treasure
There’s a quiet kind of pride in holding something you’ve made yourself. Your finished platter and dish won’t just serve up nibbles at your next gathering. It’ll carry the memory of a joyful creative experience. It’ll remind you that beauty often lives in the imperfect, the handmade, the heartfelt.
No experience needed, just a desire to create
This workshop is perfect for beginners. You don’t need to be “creative,” we provide everything you need and guide you through each step; from rolling and shaping to adding those finishing details that make your platter and dish truly yours.
Once your pieces are complete, they’ll stored until they are bone dry, then the firing process begins, first with a bisque fire then the glaze firing. You’ll be notified when they’re ready to collect your beautiful, food safe ready to use platter and dish.
If you’ve been craving a moment to slow down, a chance to reconnect with your hands and your creativity, or you’re simply looking for a meaningful way to spend an afternoon, our platter and dish pottery workshop is a perfect place to start. Whether you’re coming on your own, bringing a friend or organising a group experience for your workplace or family, this is a space to relax, create and connect.
