Will I be using a wheel?

No. All workshops use simple hand building techniques - no pottery wheels.

Will my pottery be fired and glazed?

This depends on the workshop you book.

Single workshops are centred around a specific piece, such as a mug, platter and dish, or wavy bowl.

In the 8 Week Pottery course, you’re welcome to bring your own ideas. We teach three hand building techniques, then guide you to create the pieces you’d like to make.

What will I make?

No. All workshops use simple hand building techniques - no pottery wheels.

How is the workshop taught?

I demonstrate each step and guide you individually as you work.

Can I make extra pieces?

Your main focus during the workshop is the workshop piece(s). If time allows, you’re welcome to make an additional piece.

Additional pieces incur an extra cost depending on size to cover firing.

Is there an age limit?

Workshops are suitable for adults, teens and children.

For regular public workshops, children under 10 should attend with an adult.

We also offer private group workshops for younger children, including birthdays and family gatherings.

What if I can’t attend?

Workshops are non-refundable and cannot be swapped. Please check availability before booking.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes, with wheelchair access to the workshop space. The toilet is not wheelchair accessible.

When can I collect my pottery?

Pieces are not taken home the same day. They require drying and two kiln firings, which takes around 8 weeks.
